What is going on at WVCC?

I've been picking them up here in SE Kentucky on recent nights. This station is running with no IDs and no local commercials, and is stomping all over WGN on 720. They are running Hugh Hewitt right now.

A faulty remote control unit for the transmitter keeps crashing on us. Twice this week it prevented our scheduled sign-on from occurring. Apparently now it's failing to sign-off. Engineering is aware of the issues and is going to replace the faulty unit.

As for why you're hearing program audio on the signal without spots or IDs, we keep "dummy audio" (SRN's raw feed) going down the line to the transmitter in order to keep the silence sensors from going berzerk after sundown.

Thanks for letting us know.
