What is going on with kost on Christmas?

Usually when the calendar flips from.oct to nov 1 kost starts talking bout when they will flip to Santa radio. Or they will say they will announce on this date when we will flip... And no party at Disneyland this year. By now there in full blown mode giving those passes away...But nothing this year. Have not heard a word bout Christmas on kost and nothing on there websight about Christmas either.

What do they think people are just gonna forget after a quarter of a century about the Christmas music??? And anyone know what happened to kari steele??? The woman that fills in for her says I am filling in for Kari Steele and she is still listed on there we sight....Haven't heard Kari in over a month...
 
This year the December PPM ratings petiod begins next week on Thursday 11/13. Some (but not all) of the longtime stations that flip *may* wait until next week and still have two full "books" for holiday music, the December book and the Holiday book. Last year the December period began Thursday 11/7/24 and nearly every iHeart station flipped by Friday 11/8.

As for the other stuff, it could be many things ranging from cutbacks, a change in priority or it'll happen next week.

Generally, announcers don't say they're "filling in for" a specific person if that person no longer works for the station. So I think it can safely be assumed that Steele is still employed by KOST. Why she hasn't been on air for a month, a week or a day is none of the listener's business. If she doesn't return, and the fill-in stops qualifying her/his (you didn't say which) own presence with a "filling in for," that pretty much makes the "Why no Kari for the past month?" question moot, doesn't it? She's gone, period. The station has moved on, and so should this listener.
