K R L A, Pasadena/ KR-la Pasadena

I can imagine!.
> Seriously, today's oldies stations cannot hold a candle to
> the old KRLA in Pasadena.
Are you from the Southland Tony?. You sure know a lot about it!. In the 80's KR-la did it again with the Real Don Steele, Humble Harve, "the Burner", Huggy Boy and Emperor Bob doing Mornings. Wolfman overnights. AM 1110 was back!
> Yep, huge Hispanic audience ... Humble Harv ... what
> happenin' after he got out of prison ... remember his
> KRRRRRLA ... dedications and requests ... wow ...
He only spent three years in prison for MURDER. His wife was killing him!
> KRLA went thought a lot ... a lot of changes ... through the
> years ... great jocks ... Shadoe Stevens, Charlie Tuna in
> the early 90s, B. Mitchel Reed ... Casey Kasem, Charlie
> O'Donnell, Emperor Hudson .. Bob Eubanks, Lee Baby Simms ...
> so many memories ...
Absolutely true, but not those guys in the 90's?. Possibly the Emperor.

I saw Charlie Tuna & the DeFranko family live at Montgomery Wards in Panorama City California. They performed Heartbeat, it's a Lovebeat right in the Parking lot.
> Boy, did that Art make a bundle. Wow! Isn't he more than
> 90 years young now.
Actually when I met Art Laboe at KRLA in 1977 he looked old. Now I'm looking older. How are you?
> Did you know Huggy Boy" at KRTH? Heard he worked at KRTH
> into his '70s. What a personality!
Huggy Boy was KILLER at KR-la in the 80's with Steele, Hudson, Harve, and the Wolfman overnights. Sure I heard him at K-EARTH, Steele too. However both of them were on fire at Eleven Ten.

Yes, I remember that. Wait, no, I discussed that with the Batman?.
> > > I hate LA ... sorry ... San Francisco is great though.

The jokes on you, that's not Air! I’m almost positive L.A. inspired the Hollies hit “ The Air that I Breathe”
> You know.
What?
> What do they mean "sunny" when you cannot see the sun?
It’s a local Hollywood thing. It’s kind’a hard to say “currently under poisonous skies”...
> Did you ever catch "KHJ Car Radio"
Catch it, I drove in it!. Actually I just posted something about Car Radio on the L.A. Radio board. My first Car only had an AM Radio & 8 Track. My Car loved Car Radio!
> Who thought THAT up? Could not have a focus group.
>
> If so, they were residents of the "Twilight Zone".
Executives at RKO Radio. Hey what a chain RKO was. Did you ever own a General Tire?.
> Anyway, WHEN ARE YOU RETURNING TO LA?
Soon, oh soon the light. (Yes)

Would you believe? I accidently found that information yesterday!

I don’t know Terrel, but I am familiar with his son.
> My son is now a lawyer in San Francisco ... lives in Marin County.
That sounds great, one that he didn’t follow in your footsteps, and living in Marin County too. One of the nicest Counties in California. L.A. is a cesspool, but it’s my cesspool. Wait, I’m still in Miami-Dade, THE absolute worst place on Earth. Two direct hits by a Hurricane in five weeks, everything blew away.

> But if you would like to visit, we could try to find them.
> If ... if ... they don't find us first.
Hi, I’m Bob, I’ll be your Robber today!. ( from L.A. Story)
Ever been to Miami?
> No, I picture it like Mexico City ... "hands up ... spread
> 'em ... you're wanted by the po lice."
> "Indiana Wants Me" (Lord I Can't Go Back There, so stupid me
> I went to Miami and got acquainted with the Miami Vice.")
> I think that's the title.
R.Dean Taylor would be proud of you right about now. That was his name, wasn’t it?.
> Could I visit the Radio Marti if I visited?
It’s a top secret Federal operation, but they are listed in the phone book with the address. The Federal Guards are rental guards. Just pull up to the speaker and tell them to let you in. Half the time it works!.
> Could I visit Fidel ... and smoke one with him?
Oh forget him, what about me?.
> > Now I'm suing the Government, hoping to leave here real
> > soon. Don't trust the State Department Tony!
> Write me an email when you have a chance.
Why I will!. And I’m still very upset about this new imposter, lurking the boards, pretending to be someone that you were pretending to be. This is not right, right?
