What is KTWVs future?

I know I have asked this before months ago.

Do we have to worry about CBS flipping KTWV away from Smooth Jazz? Even though KTWV is a broadcast architecture Smooth Jazz station with 50% pop R&B its better than have no smooth jazz fm station at all.

I personally love the station and its history. but if trends are any indication, as are ratings, I would start compiling airchecks because it likely won't survive much more than a year longer.

KTWV is doing better in the ratings than most of the surviving Smooth Jazz stations in the US, but it could go the way of the Dodo bird soon if it doesn't perform better. Here's an idea, bring back KMET and give KLOS & the Sound a run for the ratings! Nah, just a fantasy...

KTWV was put on the air 22 years ago by Owen Leach and Frank Cody, operating as Broadcast Architecture.

So, what is so unusual about the fact that the station is consuted by Broadcast Architecture?

Just a reminder... LA is a PPM market now. There are no trends. There are just 13 monthly reports, as well as 4 weeklies for each month, each with the same sample size so they are about as reliable as the monthly.

The station is one of the top billing stations in the CBS cluster and is close to the top 10 25-54. I don't understand how much better you expect it to perform. I think CBS is mighty happy with those results - and it's not expensive to run.

Yup, CBS is probably set on the FM dial now with KROQ, KRTH, KTWV and now AMP (except for DJ's of course). They'll probably focus more on KNX/KFWB tinkering now...

So you're saying another format is on the horizon for 94.7?

So will it be KNX-FM or KFWB-FM?
