What is on 1610 AM in Kansas City?

That used to be what operated there. Not sure how seriously they take the TIS station, though. New Mexico used to go all out on its TIS transmitters, but most places seem to air usually out of date prerecorded information.
 
Thanks for the info. It's off now in any case, was off last night as well so maybe it shuts off during the nighttime hours.

I don't know how powerful the transmitter is but I can hear it very well at the location I was checking.

I'll let you guys know if it starts playing something other than silence.
