WHAT IS "RADIO GA GA"

KTRH has a show called RADO GA GA on the scehdule posted on the website. It airs Saturday night/Sun morning. It does not have a link to the shows actual website, and I am curious as to what kind of show this is.

All right guys... here ya go: http://www.ktrh.com/pages/radiogaga.html

I do the web stuff for Clear Channel Houston - I just put together this page. BTW, you can find a link to it on the web page - on the horizontal navigation bar, choose "PROGRAMS" and it's the fourth show from the bottom. You can listen live Saturdays 7-9 on the site.

The show is in it's infant stages, only on for the past couple of weeks, but I like that callers are expected to give their favorite album (title & artist) prior to comment or question ~ kinda gives the boys a heads up, ya know?

Oh, one more thing: would you please give me a hand and let me know if the fonts are working on it- I've defined them, but they already exist on my machine, so of course they show up. They're pretty darn obvious if they're working. Thanks! :-*

sounds like an interesting show.

the website loaded, but I question the "R" in the logo. B YAN and AIM
it looks like a bad lightning bolt, ala KISS.

It does sound like an interesting show and I agree with Jay C about the "R". Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Gene Simmons owns the rights to that font, we all know how successful Gene's been with his lawsuits. The manufacturers of Monopoly had to pay Gene for use of the "moneybag" image even though they had been using it long before he got the copyright. There's some pop culture trivia for the show!

Great. Tune to KTRH for the latest news and hear Jon Cusack and Jack Black dissect pop culture and celebrity gossip.

Good concept, wrong station.

That IS indeed the "die nasty" font used on many things associated with KISS. As far as I know, they weren't the first to use it. A fan (probably a web designer or fanzine editor) most likely came up with it loosely based on the font used on the back cover of the first KISS album and the font for the title of the Dynasty album. And being a KISS fan, the backwards S as the R always kind of bugged me too. If a font can be trademarked, I'm sure Gene has looked into it, but as far as I know, it's available for public use.
