What is the difference between Christian AC and Christian CHR?

The site I use for Nielsen ratings calls K-Love and H.I.S Radio affiliates "Christian CHR". I don't think that's the case. Maybe WAY-FM and the old Air-1. K-Love sounds like AC to me and some people have complained because it's not like CHR, which is a format that would prefer.

The difference between the Christian AC and CHR is that CHR tends to lean to a younger demographic and would play stuff like hip-hop and maybe some rock stuff and would lean away from the worship stuff. However with that said - labels for "ratings" has never been 100% accurate. I would not consider "HIS Radio" Christian CHR - they are a Christian AC., Even WAY-FM is Christian AC these days, Sure the songs they run in heavy rotation may vary but their AC.

Then someone needs to tell the people on that Nielsen ratings site.

Of course, I've tried and I never got results when they made other mistakes.
They likely won't listen to anyone except maybe the station itself and probably only if they are buying the book. Given how all the music charts seem to have been put behind paywalls I am surprsied we even see any type of public accessible ratings data these days.
