What is the difference from jack fm and 9 fm we play anything?

I am in from out of town and was listening to nine fm we play anything and what is the difference between the 2?Jack fm and nine fm.They both use the moniker we play anything.I heard blinded me with science followed by rage against the machine on nine fm i was like wow!!! Anyways just taking opinions on the matter

Thanks so much and have a happy holiday!!!

Jack FM owned by CBS, Nine-FM by Newsweb Corp/Fred Eychaner

Jack FM broadcast from Sears Tower on one frequency (104.3) covering all of Chicago and collar counties, Nine-FM broadcast from three rimshot frequencies (92.5, 92.7, 99.9) with collar-county coverage but poor signal into Chicago

Jack FM shows song/artist via HD Radio and RDS, Nine-FM does not

Jack FM has somewhat tighter playlist, Nine-FM a bit more open but sometimes "off the wall"

Jack FM says "Playing What We Want," Nine-FM says "We Play Anything"

Jack FM has no on-air personalities, Nine-FM does and also has Mix-101.9 style morning show

I listen to Jack 104.3 at work, 50 hours a week for quite a long time. We listen because the other stations talk too much, and I have to give Jack credit because of the lack of talk, the commercials are quite tolerable......The songs are in rotation, so its not like I could predict exactly what time a song will play...But, it seems like Jack chooses a handfull of songs from an artist. Nine on the other hand, Ive had to look on the internet to try to figure out what song played that I havent heard on other stations in a while. (example is Red Hot Chili Peppers "My Friends" ---usually a station will play Under the Bridge or Give it Away.) I guess what I am trying to say is some artists produce 100's of songs, and most stations pick very few, it seems 9-fm picks a few more IMHO

Nine is better. more tighter 80s and the play anything is stupid. i requested polka and they wouldnt play it.. said they dont have it.
