What is the most stable version of Winamp

Is it just me, or does it seem the older versions of Winamp was more stable than these newer volume 5 versions. I keep having problems with streams rebuffering and also Streams just freezing up. If it wasnt for needing AAC Plus to play some of my favorite streams, I would go back to one of the version 2 models. I found a website that has download links for all the old versions of winamp, from version 1, all the way to 508. Are their any Winamp experts, or users that might offer some advice, as to which is the best version, and which ones have bugs?

Yeah guys, I have 5.10 LITE now, I changed it from 5.94 FULL, and that seemed to help it alot. I still prefer the older 2.81 version, probably because my computer is slow, and low on memory, But, I have to use one of the Version 5 Winamps, since the older ones dont support AAC Plus.
