I realize they are trying to expand their niche with breaking news, but man, the network really jumps on any thing aviation-wise, another example today with a somewhat routine engine fire where there were emergency evacuations. Most injuries were minor, but the atmosphere was filled with words like "horrific, horrendous, nightmarish, extremely frightening", etc. Yes, this was a news story, but the amount of time and "breaking news" banners was over the top, IMO. And the anchors seemed lost. I looked up information on the airline faster than they could which is really a sorry commentary on CNN. BTW, that Malyasian 370, despite thousands of hours of coverage on CNN, is still lost.
