What is the story with Qwkrock?

The biggest risk associated with ditching Bob & Tom is that (most of) the B&T audience isn't listening to them because they're part of Quickrock; they're listening specifically to Bob & Tom.

But if you are not selling the morning show that is seperated from your station, why keep it?
I just wonder...can they sell anything anymore? Seems to me, the story was Hot had to go because it could not be sold. Qwk isn't being sold. Joe did well which probably means at least in State College, Froggy is being undersold.
Maybe its not programming at all. Maybe, just maybe the problem is in sales?

Don't know firsthand, but just taking a shot in the dark on that one.

The average salespan of a Forever AE is short. With the exception of two who have been there over a year, the average can be measured in days! This is no joke.
The latest Sales Manager was hired and fired within weeks. The last GM, who tried to stop the bloodletting, was sacked partly for his reluctance to wield the sword for Lady MacBeth.
Please don't confuse programming success with sales numbers. Enron looks good beside Forever.

Oh Believe me, I don't think any of us are confusing programming success with sales success. Hot 103 was a brilliantly programmed station which Turner and his staff should be proud of and it was picked apart for the sake of what's starting to look like a sick Frog. Perhaps if the people focused on sales stayed out of Programming totally and left the programmers handle it while they held pep rallies for the salesperson of the day, both sides would be happier.
There have been and I am sure still are some very good programming people sitting at the helm. Trouble is, their hard work always seems to come unravvled for the sake of ideas to generate more sales.
Consistency builds loyalty and loyalty builds success. Sadly these stations canot build any kind of loyal following due to change after change. How many frequency swaps for Qwk in less than 2 years, Bob and Tom added, then dropped...the list goes on. Its hard to be a winner when you keep changing the gameplan midway through the first quarter.
