what is this distorted mess on 87.7 ????

terrible terrible terrible. Maybe R&B? its so distorted you cant really tell.

I'm telling you, that's why I said before, but no one ever listen to me, if "HOT 96.9" all they have to do, besides what they are playing now, all they have to do is play all NEW "Urban AC" and on weeknights (Monday-Thursday) put on "The Quiet Storm" (Superadio.com)
That's all they have to do, and they will be all set!!
If not add Urban AC, at least add "The Quiet Storm" weeknights (Monday-Thursday), at least do that, and add some weekend Urban AC/& Smooth Jazz Syndicated Shows, and they will be all set
I'm telling you
Their Assistant Program Director was the most Recent Assistant Program Director of (KISS 98.7-New York City) which was one of the BEST Urban AC Stations in the country.
So with that said, she should look into other programs

If you ask me, they should've just kept the name "Nova 96.9" because if you ask me, they're not "HOT"
For the name "HOT" listeners expect to hear more Urban/Urban AC

Don't get me wrong,
they're ok. But what could make them better, is as I said, either add more NEW Urban AC, or add "The Quiet Storm"
That's the only way they can improve
All in all, I'm happy with what I hear so far

AGAIN? Please stop. Buy or rent a station and try Urban AC...you know what they say about a fool and his money. Just ask Santos.

It's yet another pirate on 87.7. They have now lowered their modulation to a more reasonable level, and it's playing Caribbean or Calypso music. It's not the old "Hot 87.7" which was urban Hip-Hop/R&B. It's coming in fairly strong here in Somerville.

What your most likely hearing is the FM simulcast of the 1620 AM pirate which I believe is from Medford. They were on 99.9 FM for awhile but moved down to 87.7 sometime last week.

Yes, I'm hearing what sounds like Haitian Creole talk on 87.7 now, and another pirate that I had been hearing on 99.9 is now gone, so it could be them moved down.

Maybe they wanted to get away from the adjacent splatter from the overmodulating pirate on 100.1 (the one that cuts out WBRS' signal anywhere more than a few miles east of Waltham).

yeah i just noticed today that the 99.9 which was strong and covered suprisingly well was gone.

great. just great.
