What is TV Land doing to their schedule?

Shows I record late at night are starting at different times. When I start them on my DVR, they are already halfway through the episode. Is TV Land trying to run everyone off?

TV land's daily Roseanne and Andy Griffith marathons they been doing for months now probably already driven everyone off. Each episode of Roseanne repeats about every 5 weeks.

Seems like they are trying to be general entertainment networks like ABC Family, FX, USA, and TBS

from the beginning i thought TV Land was a great concept and enjoyed it for years but the shows that defined them are all gone, so it is hard to tell what they are anymore, my guess is they will be running reality Shows, if they haven't already.
i think the problem is that cable has become so fragmented and competition so tight, the rights to run these shows have been taken up by other channels and scattered to the four winds in such a way that you can't find them in a sea of 500+ channels.

Except that those networks generally stick to the schedule and start their programs as listed. TV Land often starts their shows several minutes before or after actual time, with the actual timing known only by the programmers at TV Land.

The Classic TV forum has more details on this scheme:

I already know of several people who are planning on suing TVLAND over this practice. I don't know what surprises me more the fact that someone is planning on suing TVLAND because they can no longer use their DVR with TVLAND or the fact they found a lawyer willing to take the case and thinks they have a shot at winning.

That's funny right there. :D

I was irritated at switching over on live TV to find the show halfway done or trying to watch it on my DVR....halfway done, so I simply removed TV Land from my received channels list. Problem solved. There's nothing really on there worth watching I can't see on other channels. 6 hour Roseanne and Andy Griffith marathons do not turn me on.
