What is up for sydication programming this fall?

Anything new? Could MY Network TV have infleuence over the new stuff since what News Corp is putting there was orignally syndie type stuff. Also, what about sitcoms (coming into sydication) and existing syndie shows?

As I heard, the only thing on My Network TV for this fall are those two telenovela series. Everything else is still up for grabs in syndication.

According to Jim

The Yankees game ended early on UPN 9 here in Connecticut and they ran their 10PM newscast from 9:45PM-10:15PM. After about 5 minutes of commercials and promos they ran a 7 minute promo for According to Jim. It was the stars of the show talking about the show over clips from the show. At the bottom of the screen it said Coming this fall and it had the UPN 9 logo. According to what I've heard this station is the MY affiliate for Hartford.

Rachael Ray is getting what I guess is a talk show.WABC is carrying it; I've seen the promos. Soundslike some of the ABC o&os that have been carryingTony Danza will have her show (haven't heard whatWPVI or WTVD, both of which run Danza, are goingto do but bet they'll show Rachael).

Rachael isn't the only new talker in town this fall: She'll have competition from Greg Behrendt and Keith Ablow.

Another show to watch out for is Judge Maria Lopez.

Our local NBC station is getting the Megan Mullally Show. I see it lasting only one season just like Jane Pauley. Also, our local NBC station is getting rid of Dr. Phil, and getting this new doctor (at the same time slot) Dr. Keith Ablow. My question is...who is Dr. Keith Ablow? Give me doctor baldy anytime, from what I've heard via connections at some stations in this area, Dr. Phil will be going to our local FOX station. I know our local CBS station isn't getting anything really new. I always love the start of the new season, just to see what shows are coming out.

I was just looking at the station lineup for Rachael
Ray's show, and I see WTVG Toledo at 3 PM. Since
this is an ABC o&o, what happens to "General Hospital"?

Syndication will be somewhat marginal at best. The CW and the CW 100+ have taken the good shows away from stations.

Greg Behrendt and Judge Maria will be a part of the 100+ package of shows that will fulfill the broadcast day.

Yeah, Rachael Ray and Megan Mullally hits the air; but, expect the big owner stations to snatch them up quickly. It's too bad that Tony Danza is leaving.

I am really curious to see how Divorce Court does with a new judge in Lynn Toler. A real judge from the Cleveland Heights, OH area. She was going to have her own show; but, Mablean was too demanding for a pay raise.

Next season (2007) will be the year for shows. Desperate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy will highlight the lineup. But, also expect to see a lot of game shows once again hit the circuit.

Also, According to Jim will also come aboard in 2007.

But, will Star Trek: The Original (with Capt. Kirk and Spock) really do well? I know that it is replacing ST: Enterprise. ST hasn't had a good run since Deep Space Nine.

When are we going to see more home improvement shows come on for syndication?

Debuting Fall 06 in syndication...

According to Jim
American Idol Rewind
CSI: Miami
Crime Watch block (Cold Squad) (Stone Undercover)
Cristina's Court
The Dead Zone
Dr. Keith Ablow (www.drkeithtv.com)
The Greg Behrendt Show
Judge Maria Lopez (www.judgemarialopez.com)
Masterminds
The Megan Mullally Show
Rachael Ray (www.rachaelrayshow.com)
Scrubs
The Shield
Still Standing
Vera Wang: A Show on the Go
Wedding in a Week
Without a Trace

Fall 2007 (list not final, obviously)
Two and a Half Men
(hour-long King World & Sony game show block)

I remember back in the 90's, my local station (Fox 29, WTXF) had "The Ropers" in syndication. A show that was a flop, but managed to be in syndication a decade and more after it aired. It lasted in syndication apparently based on the success of "Three's Company". But, we don't see "Joey" hitting syndication following "Friends" success, even as the show isn't old.

Which station(s)/market are you referring to? It is surprising Dr.Phil is being dropped by a CBS affiliate, and moving to a Fox affiliate.

I hadn't heard this -- any idea when an announcement is likely to come out? For that matter, if it is replacing "Enterprise", does that mean it will be offered as a weekend barter show instead of being sold on a cash basis as is common with most older shows?

Star Trek: The Original Series will be replacing Enterprise stations. Same distributor as Enterprise. However, I was told by my rep that they are seeking additional markets and the show will be barter (FREE).

If it weren't for syndication, Star Trek would be a "forgotten" TV show that would be sitting in Paramount's vault decaying, and first-run syndication would probably be miniscule offerings of crap......some hour long shows make it in syndication, like Star Trek, but others, like Dallas and Knots Landing, have failed in Syndication, getting less ratings than in their original primetime runs......

At least Paramount is doing something sensible by giving TOS a new run in weekend syndication and letting Enterprise have a rest.

I wonder if they're planning to syndicate a version of "Star Trek 2.0" that's running now on G4. That would certainly breathe new life into things.

Actually, Dr. Phil isn't on our CBS affiliate, but on our NBC affiliate going to our Fox affiliate. Our CBS affiliate is doing so poorly (because of management) that it hardly has any decent syndcated shows. The only decent shows we have on our CBS station is Extra, ET, The Insider, King of the Hill. This market is: 54

Who distributes Masterminds, Wedding in a Week, and The Dead Zone???

Can you let me know?

Masterminds - New Line
Wedding in a Week - Buena Vista (Disney)
Dead Zone - Debmar/Mercury

The latest entry to first-run weekly syndication comes from TVS, which is known for syndicating "E/I" product to stations. It's called Noise Link, and it's basically a music video show for independent bands.
