Hi everyone:

Rachael Ray is getting what I guess is a talk show.WABC is carrying it; I've seen the promos. Soundslike some of the ABC o&os that have been carryingTony Danza will have her show (haven't heard whatWPVI or WTVD, both of which run Danza, are goingto do but bet they'll show Rachael).

Oddly enough, here in Denver, CBS O&O KCNC 4 is carrying Rachael. Guess they gave up on Martha Stewart Living. ???

I was just looking at the station lineup for Rachael
Ray's show, and I see WTVG Toledo at 3 PM. Since
this is an ABC o&o, what happens to "General Hospital"?

That has to be a typo.

General Hospital's ratings may not be as top notch as any of the CBS soaps, but they're not bad enough to warrant bouncing the show off the lineup either.

I can't see this show succeeding. I see it becoming a show where a new idol is picked every week like Star Search was back in the '80s.

CSI: Miami

I don't see any of the CSI shows coming out of cable. If they do, local stations will bury them just like they do with 24 now.

Crime Watch block (Cold Squad) (Stone Undercover)

Unless this is a reality show, see CSI: Miami

The Shield

You can water down Sex & The City and still keep it entertaining. But to water down this show would be sacriligious (sp?) to us faithful fans of the show. I don't see this show ever leaving cable (It's on Spike TV now).

I heard that WNBC in NYC will airing her new show. And if you live in eastern Iowa, you can catch both her shows--her new talk show can be seen on CW 20 at 9 A.M., as well as Will and Grace.

No reason why CSI: Miami wouldn't perform the way the original CSI has in weekend broadcast syndication, where it's been quite successful.

As for the Crime Watch block of Cold Squad and Stone Undercover, both of these are scripted dramas imported from Canada. The syndicator is the same folks as are distributing Da Vinci Inquest (another Canadian procedural drama) this season. Da Vinci Inquest has been performing decently in weekend syndication, so the hope is that Cold Squad and Stone Undercover will perform decently, as well.

I wonder if they're planning to syndicate a version of "Star Trek 2.0" that's running now on G4. That would certainly breathe new life into things.

The answer to that looks to be "no". Information on the bartered version of Star Trek (original series) can now be found on paramounttv.com in the series section, and gives no indication of any extras. It does give a start date for the week of 9/11/06, and gives a program running time (without commercials) of 43:48, which doesn't leave much room for extras anyway.

General Hospital is the one ABC soap that consistently beats its CBS competition (Guiding Light).
I don't know how the two do head-to-head in Toledo, but I just can't see GH being moved. I'd
look for Rachael at 10 AM on WTVG.

To add to my above posting, Guiding Light wins the
3 PM timeslot with relative ease in Toledo (I wonder
if some of those viewers are in Detroit), so the idea
of WTVG moving General Hospital may not be so far-
fetched, even though I still find it hard to believe.

You might want to check out Star Trek.com for more info on Star Trek in syndication this fall......they are enhancing the series with new CGI effects and a new version of the classic opening sequence. "Balance of Terror" is set to be the first TOS enhanced episode set to air week of 9/16
