What is up with WHAM Radio?

I was listening to WHAM 1180 Monday Afternoon at 4pm. After the news guy
Bud Lowell finished his local news he fired off the weather forecast with Glen Johnson.
Now this is Monday Afternoon at 4pm!! He's playing the weather from Friday afternoon
where Glen is talking about what's coming up Saturday and into Sunday. My ears had
to do a double take. Sure mistakes happen. But I was also listening earlier in the week
during Coast to Coast and the weather that was played was also majorly outdated.

What kind of quality does WHAM put out over the air? You would think by Monday
Afternoon that somebody would've yanked the old weather forecast out of the computer
by then?

If they claim to have news at the top of each hour - I beg to differ. Not Sunday Morning
at 6am. That's when their PSA start. I know they have to air PSA's but don't claim you
have the news at the top of every hour.

Anyone notice that they dumped the top of the hour 'Time Tone'. They would say It's
4 O'Clock and then the an annoying low frequency time tone burp. Why is the network
news intro at the top of the hour being stepped on with the top of the hour ID?
The voice over guy would say it's 9 O'Clock for example and completely step all over the
FOX news intro. Very sloppy. Can't whoever the board op is learn to backtime? If it's
all Computer autogenerated - It just sounds sloppy and unprofessional.

Sorry - didn't mean for this to sound like a rant on WHAM. I like WHAM and I enjoy listening
to the programs during the day and at Night. Any time I listen to AM radio - I'm listening to
WHAM.

One last observation - why does the Afternoon guy (JoLo - which is a take off of JLO Jennifer Lopez's moniker
which sounds dumb, dumb and dumb - just call yourself by your first name to match your audience who are
not keyed into Jennifer Lopez) why does he have to force his voice to sound ballsy? When he drops his voice into that lower register he stays there to sound ballsy. Forget it - You're voice is vanilla. You don't have a deep rich voice like Bill Lowe or some of the other news guys or that Coast to Coast AM host John B. Wells. He would get talking soooo fast and then Randy Gorbman
would talk fast to match him and then stumble all over himself because not everyone is juiced up on Monster or Red Bull.
I liked JP when he would fill in. He wasn't in a rush and he wouldn't say the news sponsorship tag in 1.5 seconds for example.
Listening to a good news hour 5 to 6 is alright but I don't wanna feel like I'm in a race car. I don't know what it is but a lot
of the younger generation today feel like the've gotta talk super fast that leaves you asking, 'Huh'? Imagine 20 years form now what the kids will sound like. Like it does when your skipping over a CD using Fast Forward.

Ok, I'm done. :)

Ok I'm done.
