What is WSOC-TV thinking?

Last week, two episodes of "The Middle" were reruns. This week "The Middle" is new and "Better with You" is back. So WSOC picks THAT night to run a severe weather special.

WXLV better come in perfectly. Of course, during my first summer with DTV, it did, and I never even saw WSOC. Things have changed since then.

Makes no sense but local news does go crazy for weather hype. WSOC especially likes weather cut-ins.. I've seen them do it even for weather situations outside of the Charlotte DMA.

That is the biggest problem I have with getting my TV on Satellite. If I was on my local Cable system, I would have two ABC stations, two CBS, and two NBC stations at the very least to choose from. But in their all knowing wisdom, the FCC will not let DTV or Dish do the same thing.

If anyone watches, how many times will they say "severe"

I hate the sensationalism of Channel 9. It puts Fox News and Tara Servatius to shame.

Wow, Tara - Sensationalism?? Surely you jest! ;D

Looks like the new episode of "The Middle" is airing Saturday at 1:00pm
Right in the middle of severe weather.

Fortunately, WXLV performed perfectly for me, and I saw "Better with You" on WSOC-TV.
