This morning Allan Loudell of WDEL posted about one of his favorite topics - the Bidens. For years, Loudell, a right-wing talk show host who presents himself as a news interviewer. has gone out of his way to promote Biden, Sr. and now Jr. But his favorable attention is not being returned and it seems Loudell has gotten his feelings hurt. Beau Biden is not return his calls or making himself available to be a guest on Loudell's show (even as daddy agrees to go on the new Jimmy Fallon Tonight Show). Loudell said....

Somebody will point out that the first amendment applies only to government. True enough. But Loudell is the one the same day was touting freedom of expression, apparently that is reserved only for himself. That's called "hypocrisy."
What does Loudell find objectionable and not want anyone to know? That a local politician might not be eager to submit to one of this interviews? The his station's audience began exiting the money demos in the Reagan administration and is rapidly declining in size? That politicians can do better with new media, especially new media they can control? The suggestion that he's not that important any more?
Hard to justify deleting this sort of thing when hate speech comments are freely allowed.
(Beau Biden's) office releases statements nearly daily in his name, often about arrests & prosecutions of individuals on charges of kiddie pornography; announcements of indictments; advisories on scams; etc. But try to get the attorney general on-the-air, even by phone, let alone on camera? He's like Dick Cheney at some undisclosed location.

For all of Loudell's Biden promotion, maybe Biden, Jr. does not want to an interview with him. Why should he? Given the right-wing talk radio has a rapidly shrinking (down 50 per cent in the last two years) and superannuated audience, maybe he thinks it's a waste of time. The only way he gets attention in such a venue is if he puts his foot in his mouth (like father, like son) and the real, big-time media pick it up.

Speaking of betraying principles for expedience... Mister first amendment freedom chose to censor a post pointing out that maybe Beau does not choose to be available an interview on a radio show, and offering some reasons why a savvy politician or consultant might not think such interviews a good move. Now let's see how long this post stays up.
