What made 98.7 go alt?I always thought hot ac's bill well

I always thought as a whole in the country hot ac's bill well. They may not get the highest numbers but do generate some good cash for the suits so with that said why did star become a alt station. I am not complaining about them they sound fine to me just seems the market has kroq and on the other end indie and between the two the indie/alt crowd is covered. Now there is a hole for a hot ac station. Movin did you here that??? KROQ has nuttin to worry about just baffled as to what the clear channel peeps thinking is behind this???

Exactly. If you have two Hot AC's the client may say "If they're the same, why don't you just give me KYSR as a bonus if I buy KBIG?"

If they move to a different format, CC can say its more "diversified."

Wasn't it also because CC's alternative and rock stations had done well with PPM? It seems like everyone thought that they changed 98.7 for the PPM when the change first happened.
