Now that Kenny Bee and Charles are going to WMAC-AM what will happen to the AM drive slot for WPGA/WNEX?

Rick Knight has announced on a social networking site that he and Brad Majors will be teaming up for the morning show multi-cast on WPGA-DT, WPGA-CA, WPGA-AM, WPGA-FM and WNEX-AM.

What is WNEX's format nowadays?
I thought they were Radio Disney.

I like Rick, I know he went through some hard times after the shakeup at FM 105 and I'm glad he's got his life back in order and Majors is a good egg, too. However knowing how Lowell is, does anyone really expect this to last? Lowell will do this as cheap as possible and it will look like crap on TV. Is there even a studio over in that building? The last time I was in it, there wasn't.

I wish them the best, but I give it six months at best.

Diamondtwo I heard something about that from one who knows Brad Majors. I just didn't get station call letters from him. I hope it goes well but Lowell has arthritis in his writing hand whenever a check or bill is presented. BTW how's PCB going other than smelling like an auto garage nowadays?

To those who fear internet radio; I've wanted to read the riot act to one internet station I'm forced to listen to at my workplace. The old words used against some traditional broadcasters come to mind; stale programming, thin playlist, poor production. Can't win for losing, can I?

Arthritis? More like amnesia. Don't know how it looks now, but he always wanted 58 to look like channel 13...but without buying the test and processing equipment to get it there.

Kturnerga, things are going well here in PCB. And it doesn't smell at all like an auto garage here -- maybe like rotten eggs from time to time when the wind is blowing in from the direction of the paper mill, but that's just the smell of money! Aside from a few small tar balls and some type of storage tank from the Deepwater Horizon that washed up across the street from where I live, we're in good shape here.

I wish Rick, Brad and Gail the best with the new show. I think it has a tremendous amount of potential, if Rick can control his penchant for wanting to make the show all about him and his "issues." I respect that Rick has apparently taken charge of getting his life on track, and I'm proud of him for doing that. Brad's been a close friend of mine for a long time, and I have a tremendous amount of respect for him. And having Gail Daniels handling news for them is the coup de grace, in my estimation, for that operation. They may actually be successful with the show IN SPITE OF Lowell Register.

TDO,

Please tell Brad hello for me. We worked together for about two years in 1998-99, when I was in school and part-time at Oldies 99 WAYS. Tell him I'm sorry I was such a pain in the rear (he will remember, I'm sure)!

I remember you, Dan. I was PD/afternoons at 99WAYS from 1996-2000; left for a short stint in Jackson, MS (aka Hell), and came back to Macon to re-launch the Oldies format on a new frequency (105.5) from 2001-2005, then on an AM (1500) from 2005-2009. I also programmed WPEZ-FM from 2005-2009 and helmed the sports station that replaced Oldies on 105.5 from 2005-2008.

Now I have just one station to worry about, a Classic Hits/Oldies station on the Florida Gulf Coast, and NO CORPORATE RADIO BS! Life is gooooood!

That's right... I'm the PD who finally drove Bill Elder over the edge to retirement! Sorry Bill. That market could SERIOUSLY use your skills right about now.
