* WWVA up slightly
* WKHX up to a number I'm glad it's above, which I can't post here
* WBZY up slightly

KICKS is doing somthing right. Even Bandy and Bailey are doing good.
Is the Q100 fad over?
WLTM up again...the highest rated CC station

That's the highest 12-plus number I've seen even in a trend for Lite in awhile. Also noteworthy is 96rock's 12-plus number, which obviously is being aided by the Braves and the Regular Guys.

Agreed. The effect of the Braves is starting to show on both 96 Rock and WSB. And The Regular Guys might be holding some Braves listeners when their clock radio goes off the next morning.

Maybe Cox dumped the wrong morning show?

> Is the Q100 fad over?

Doubt it. The night 18-34 numbers are the highest in the station's history. Mid-days were a full 2 shares higher than STR, and Bert is still the golden child. Not bad for 3kw.

Geney-weenie and Julie were on wltm (cc not cox)

Or did someone at cox get dumped recently?

No. I meant that Cox may have made a mistake when they dumped Randy & Spif, instead of getting rid of Kelli & Alpha at B98. In spite of the ratings, I always thought R&S were much more talented than K&A. And now that they're squaring off against each other on similar stations with similar formats, I think K&A may be in trouble.

BTW, I hope these latest trends don't impact B98's long string of being voted Atlanta's #1 station while you work.

:)

Soon. Before the end of the year.

For awhile, Atlanta was one of CCs worst markets ratings wise. It looks like they have turned things around, Clear now has 3 of the stations in the top 10.

I have noticed ratings for CC stations have gone up in several markets. I think that's due to some very good format change decisions. "Less is More" might have something to do with it too with TSL increases on several stations.

Based on what? As I understand, it is in the FCC's hands right now and they could approve or deny in one week or one year. How are you getting a time table from the FCC? I would guess that knowing Susqu. is on the block, the FCC wouldn't be in a hurry to approve the upgrade until they know who the new ownership of Q100 will be. That could have an impact on their descision. Approval before the end of the year sounds like wishful thinking...

Granted, the FCC could deny it if they wanted...they can also repeal the use of the FM band. The major roadblock was WSSL/Greenville, and since the deal with them has already been signed...its just a matter of time.

The likelyhood of FCC approval wasn't the issue. The question was the timetable and your assertion that Q100 would be upgraded "Soon. Before the end of the year." Based upon what knowledge of the FCC process are you getting information that we are less than 4 months from a Q100 upgrade?
