What now for rock radio

Will somebody else come in flip to active rock or mainstream rock. I read at fmqb.com that a few rockers popped up in nasville and kasas city. Other markets seem to fill a format void pretty fast. Maybe infinity will put a mainstream rocker here in town. We have q101 and the loop as for as rock stations go. Other markets have many as 3 or 4.

The fact that the Zone had such low ratings and billing won't make it too tempting for another station to fill the active rock void.

There will be another active rock station in Chicago. Maybe not right away though. Usually there's a 2-5 year gap in between rockers. But screw it, I'm looking into XM or Sirus.

Why not WCKG. They seem to enjoy that 1.2 to 1.4 share. The only thing they'd be missing would be the billing. Sure, sounds like a plan.

Xm 41 Da Boneyard Rocks, it is programmed by charlie logan who used to work here in town for the loop,103.5 the blaze and rock 103.5

If you're looking for real rock radio on satellite, Sirius is your only choice.

Here's why:

Sirius has a metal channel. XM does not since they dumped their metal offering.

Sirius has an active rock channel. XM has Squizz, which is a blend of deep cuts and hard alternative rock stuff no one has ever heard before or since.

Sirius has FOUR classic rock channels. XM has 2. Sirius has a great "Classic Rock that Rocks" format called "buzzsaw." XM has nothing even remotely similar.

If you were to be interested in the alternative side of rock, I would have presented an equally persuasive pitch, geared this time against Sirius towards XM. Each service has its own unique strengths and weaknesses.

I don't have either one, but I noticed Sirius has more rock than XM browsing the channels one day at an electronics store.

Well I happen to have XM and listen to Squizz and you have no clue what you are talking about whatsoever!
Deep cuts and hard alternative?
I'm not sure what station you were listening too.
