Yes they were in mono, but they gave us good oldies at a time when there was no other alternative for that music. Around 1979-80 I was living in the city and used to listen to WVVX often. By that time WFYR had gone AC and VVX was the only oldies alternative. The records were scratchy so it's probably good that they were in mono.

not afraid to play a song that was 12 or 13 minutes long. It was run out of building the size of a garage at 157th
and Campbell on the border of Harvey and Markham. They still transmit from there, but have moved the studio
to somewhere on the southside of Chicago. They run all religious programming and Gospel music now.
