What Should I See

I haven't been to San Diego for nearly four eons -- at least since I was a Boss Jock over there off Pacific Hiway, AND member of the more inland located, cosmic as hell Q Crew. I still remember that, on several occasions, we young, hairy broadcasters saved the universe. (for proof, look around; it's still here.)
Suddenly I'm gonna be in the area again, on a sort of working/fiesta, with friends and rolling, seeing what old sights that remain. Pacific Ocean, check; Balboa park, check...
Other than old friends and the KCBQ Monument, what SHOULD I take in? What would be on your San Diego/Santee- Must See Top Three if you had one?

Day 1: Lunch at Rubio's followed by dinner at In-N-Out Burgers.

Day 2: Reverse Day 1.

That sounds like a day in Orange County!
Skip the chains and try the Mexican Food in SD! Best town for Mexican Food in the United States
And Phil's BBQ of course!

If you haven't been to town in four decades, then the thing to do is go downtown and try to figure out where all the massage parlors and locker clubs disappeared to. For a real San Diego success story go to Croce's, opened in 1985 by Ingrid Croce, widow of Jim Croce who died not long after moving his family to San Diego.

Based on stories told to me by my old friend Ted (Tillotson) Taylor, you must have worked for Buzz Bennett (a KCBQ era referred to by the late Happy Hare as "The cosmic joke")

(See http://www.happyhareonline.com/happyhare-102.htm )

So are you Harry or Chuck? :)
OMG, I remember Ted. How is he? I'm a former "Boss Jock" wife of the Buzz Bennett era @ "Q" S.D. I, like so many others, would love to know what Buzzy is up to these days. At that time Buzz was with Lani. She was a trip and a half...very funny and sweet. Those days were a crazy magic carpet ride. Wow.... I hope Buzz and Lani are okay, either together or separately.

Ted's website is here: http://www.tedtillotsondragonlairbooks.com/

Buzz seemed to disappear from the world, but if you do a Google search you finda bunch f guys with last name Bennett call themselves "Buzz Bennett."

Thank you for that! I'll contact Ted thru his site. I was reminiscing a few weeks ago which prompted me to Google some names from the past, and led me here. I ran into the dead end with Buzz and Lani. It felt like the world tuned upside down when Buzz left KCBQ so unexpectedly. We thought we would follow him...didn't pan out that way.
I was sad to learn that both Chuck Browning (The Chucker) and Chuck "Magic" Christian had passed on. As I recall, "Magic" was married/living with Gwen? at the time. She and I hung out. We were tight with Osh and "Flower" aka Cheryl at the time also.
Shotgun and Linda still together after all these years...awesome! ;D
