What Should They Do?

This is in regards to Dayton/Cinci stations. Getting closer to 2012....

Click 1015: Not really improving much book after book. Keep it Modern AC or try Adult CHR maybe?

953 The Eagle: Known for their switch-ups every few months, what do you think? I think Active Rock or Mainstream Rock would work better considering The X flipped alternative.

Great Country 941: This frequency is cursed, what could they do here? I thought Journey was bland but I thought it performed better than GC.

As far as Click 101.5 goes the only thing that could happen is a simulcast of 1410 but I think if that were to happen they would have to have that local show be a little longer than 1 hour because if it's just a straight 24 hours of ESPN radio then why listen to 1410 online when you can go to espnradio.com. Also another interesting aspect is that there are rumors of the Dan Patrick Show going to NBC Sports Radio. If that happens does 980 WONE flip to that to keep Dan Patrick on in Dayton? Also I have wondered if 1410 would flip to CBS Sports Radio just to get Jim Rome in order to get WONE's audience?

Just speculation of course.

I didn't know WONE 980 had an audience. Three of the last five ratings books have them at a 0.0 rating (WING 1410 has been anywhere from a 1.3 to a 1.8).

No way The Eagle will do anything else other than what they're doing now. They're doing what Cox expects, so no reason to flip. I'm sure Jason would agree.
Click 101.5 should either go Adult CHR or flip to a simulcast of 1410. What they're doing now isn't working, and I'm sure their ratings will either drop further or hold steady with The X going back to Alternative. The move back to Alternative for The X still puzzles me. Then again, Cheap Channel never does anything that makes sense. Look no further than how they brought in Mark and Mo at WEBN...and fired them both 6 months later.
My guess is 94.1, being owned by Cume-less, could possibly flip to CBS Sports Radio after the 1st of the year. Cume-less has done the same in other markets.

I just don't know about Click 101.5, I actually like the Modern AC approach but it doesn't seem to be working so far.

I talked to one of my fellow classmates here at college (who lives in the Beavercreek Area) and he said that he actually listens to this station because they are unique from Channel 99.9 and their Top 40/Pop playlist. I suppose I wouldn't mind ESPN on 101.5 (would want some local shows on there though), but I think it's their signal that really plays against them.

As for 95.3 The Eagle, I also know people who listen to this station, so maybe they have a good following. Does anyone know how different The Eagle's playlist is from WTUE?

I wish 94.1 in Cincy would flip to a sort of Smooth AC/Urban AC/Chill hybrid station, but I think their ratings have actually been going up over the last few months.

94.1 is only getting a 2.5 or so. They've done nothing to promote the station since it flipped to country, in terms of billboards or TV commercials. If WNOP 740 and Real Talk 1160 can afford a billboard, then Cumulus can pay for a billboard for 94.1 or one of their other stations.

94.1 Doesn't even have a full website. it's just a Great Country logo and a Listen Live button.

I thought they didn't either for the longest, but someone on here directed me to this site: www.greatcountry941.com
which still looks pretty temporary in my opinion. Looks like they do have a few on air personalities.

They have TWO on-air personalities. I believe B105 has an on-air personality 24/7. Even 97.3 The Wolf, B105's "flanker," has someone on air 6am-midnight Monday-Friday.

Anyone on here think 96ROCK may be in for a change? Just asking because I've noticed a drop in ratings and cume. I'm wondering if the two-headed of monster of WEBN (playing less old rock and more currents these days) and The Project will force Cumulus to make a change on 96.5.

I don't think The Project will affect anything too much, I don't see 96 Rock flipping unless WEBN REALLY starts to pound them, and they're not right now.

106.3 has blown me a way a few times with their playlists, songs from days of 97x that I had not heard in years mixed in with mid period and news stuff. My number one problem is signal strength. The only time I listen to FM radio is in the car all over SW Ohio. Can anyone tell me what regions of the Tri State will get better reception for each of the two, 100.7 and 106.3. I can't seem to get 100.7 in at all in the northern subs. My other problem is throwing in what I call nu rock, I know they have to to cater to more folks but I don't like it.

Same could be said for WNKU, I hear a great song or two then awful and I have to change it.

106.3's stick is in Greenhills, so it covers the northern suburbs pretty well: http://radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/pat?call=W292DT&service=FX&status=L&hours=U

100.7's stick is on channel 12's tower near downtown so it's better there and for northern Kentucky: http://radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/pat?call=W264BW&service=FX&status=L&hours=U

Getting to 980 WONE. The local show they had the Drive is not on the station anymore. The host left to another station. I wonder what they will put in the afternoons? I am curious if they will bring someone in to host or if they find someone new.
