Congrats Carl, you win a case of Captain Happys cream corn and a copy of WNAK's Top 100, from whatever year you want to mix and match.

The Royd!

What station do I want to forget?

>>>If we're still on Memory Lane, how about WYZZ-FM.<<<

The only station named after the sound of a bodily function...

When I was teaching broadcast practice, I used to refer to WYZZ Watts: The difference between your FCC licensed power and what you claimed you were running. In this case, 7500 ERP vs claimed 50,000. That's 42,500 WYZZ Watts.

Then there was that network they joined at midnight. I forget the name. But the jock would fade into a record as he announced how they were joining this "network" b.s., some multi-state thingy. I called up one night, all wow-eyed and super-impressed, asked the dj about it. By the time I finished, he was backed to the wall admitting it was only him playing records and hoping that some cable systems were picking them up.

And the All-Time Copyrighted Trade-Marked WYZZ Hit Parade which, when I asked the old man to explain exactly how it was copyrighted, he was unable to do it. He did mention, however, that any violation --even unintended-- would be deliberate.

When the station was sold (and, let me tell you, I've got some stories about THAT little deal), I wrote a reasonable, rather benevolent, retrospective for my radio column in the Citizens' Voice. The owner responded by threatening a lawsuit. I indicated that he could ram it.<P ID="signature">______________

The Hazleton Route 81 station also now has a goofy format that is supposed to be adult standards, but mixes inappropriately with music from the 60 and 70s.
They seem to need someone who knows programming.

You seem to have a boner for the Hazelton station, what's the matter? You must be the guy that got fired for screwing up. The format on WAZL is MOYL straight from the bird. Perhaps you need to spend more time looking for another job and not reading lame message boards!

WAZL is not MOYL from the bird

It is my understanding from a very good source that WAZL is being programmed from within the station, via hard drive.
