What station is 97.9FM in Metro Atlanta?

?. WUGA-FM in Athens has a repeater on 97.9 but it usually isn't audible in metro. There are also stations on 97.9 in south Georgia and central Georgia. Nothing in the metro I'm aware of. Can't you change your FM modulator? I change mine when I run into problems.

There is a 97.7 in Rome (WGPB) and 98.1 in Nenwan (WMGP), so nothing will ever be licensed on 97.9 in Atlanta (second adjacent to WPZE, third to WSB-FM).

Probably another pirate again. The best frequencies to use for FM modulators are 94.5 and 103.7, but that is where these pirates often locate themselves.

Where is the FCC when you need them. (They are busy making sure the airwaves are safe for bible thumpers).

Riding through Lawrenceville/Snellville area tonight 97.9 actually came in pretty clear. It souned like spanish programimg. On a regular night, Clear Channel's Urban 97.9 WIBB-FM out of Macon usually bleeds into Lithonia/Stone Mountain area crystal clear. In certain areas around here you can even hear 97.9 The Wiz/WIIZ-FM ouf of Aiken,SC/Augusta,GA bleeding over the 97.9 Macon station.

WUGA does an hour or so of Spanish programming a week. I don't know if it aired last night. Still that 97.9 signal barely makes into Oconee County most of the time. I'll bet this is WIBB or maybe even Aiken that is "wrecking" the XM signal. Just move it off 97.9 or go line-in, or hardwire an FM mod. There are solutions.

Topo's funny sometimes! You can get WIIZ all the way up here, but you can barely get a good signal on any day in Augusta, the station's DMA.
