To a certain extent, most or all of the AM stations do. You can buy a block of time like the financial guys do on KRC. The last time i looked, they were charging north of 750 per hour.

Shoot, i'll sell you some time if you're not doing anything questionable....

I too beefed up a FM wireless mic. All was well in our small town until I started to interfere with the wireless mic's in the Catholic Church; pissed a Priest off something special when during a funeral the entire grieving congregation heard me and my buddies. A call was placed to my Dad and I got chewed out something special. Kind of a badge of Honor for me to have had such a skill set at a young age.

Or the pastors who forget to turn their wireless mic off when the band comes back up to sing a closing song... and well you learn the pastor isn't "called" to be a singer

I've heard something similar happen but fortunately the only discussion that was going on was about having correct change for the concession stand and what food to get.

I was board operator during one of those famous breaks back in the 70's. Had a case of the green apple quick step and scooted off to the john only to hear a break called. Did my best to get back to the studio but didn't make it in time. GM and SM were doing the play by play. When they thought they were off the air (they were out of earshot) GM says to SM "Gawd, I'd love to "F" that girl". Only it was THE word that was said. I freaked. I thought I would be canned. But nothing was ever said.
