What Stations will not carry the Iowa State/Army game?

KCRG-AM in Cedar Rapids has decided to carry high school football this Friday instead of the Cyclones. The reason being that the game will be nationally televised and they have committments to carry the high school games. As Friday is high school nigh and certian colleges are encroachin on that territory in order to get more exposure, what other Cyclone network affiliates are going with a local high school game this Friday?

KMA in Shenandoah will not carry the Iowa State game.

1650 The Fan KCNZ in Cedar Falls will carry the ISU-Army game Friday night and move the Cedar Falls vs. Waterloo West HS game to the sister AM signal on 1250 KDNZ. If they didn't have that option who knows if they would carry ISU or not.

I thought KDNZ was no longer a 'sister' station.

Isn't WHO picking up the Iowa State game to make up for the Cyclone affiliates who are carrying high school football?

KXNO

KXNO carries the ISU games.

WHO would never run ISU ball, as it is pure Hawkeyes all the way.

Both KXNO and WHO are carrying the ISU game tonite. At least that's what they've been saying on 'XNO for the last couple of days...

I'm guessing since 'XNO's signal sucks and and barely exixts after dark, and there's no conflict of a Hawkeye game, WHO is picking up the game, too.

Correct. WHO is picking up the game tonight as well.

There was some debate though as to whether one of the stations should carry the high school football show. I think at least one of them should have picked it up, but it was not to be.

My guess is the brass at CC finally realizes what a pitiful excuse for a high school football show that is. They've already stopped the in-state networking of one show, now they're trying to squeeze the people who run the Friday night show out. About time. It's like Archie Bunker's Place. A gravy-trained show using someone else's great idea.

KDNZ is still a sister station of KCNZ as it is still owned by the same company. The only that changed was the format from simulcasting 1650 to going Hispanic. Due to contractual agreements, KCNZ will still air some sports programming on 1250.
