What the heck is PRO-FM doing?

PRO-FM had this new guy named Kerry Collins on for the last 2 nights, Big Doug is on tonight.

Where's Ashley Taylor?

What is Tony Bristol doing??? Is he testing people out or something??

Just hire a person!

Let's see. It's the second week in July. The week lots of people take vacations. Maybe she's on vacation. As for Kerry Collins I wonder if he's the same one that used to work at Clear Channel's KC-101.3 in New Haven, CT.<P ID="signature">______________

I looked him up and he sounds the same (I listened to his aircheck). He is the APD/Midday Man at KC101

Then that explains why he'd want to give it all up to be this quarter's night slammer at PRO-FM.

Kerry Collins? Kerry from WKCI-FM 101.3 ("KC 101") of Hamden/New Haven, CT?

Kerry Collins has been with KC-101/New Haven for years. He is currently APD. My guess is that this is merely some extra work for him to put on his resume. The PRO-FM night job would mean a significant salary decrease for him, and the role of APD is not available at PRO-FM. I had thought that Ashley Taylor was permanent; her name was added to some of the nighttime voiceovers as recently as two weeks ago.

Remember about ten years ago, when TJ Napp left PRO-FM, when the PRO-FM night slot was hotly contested. If I am not mistaken, many now-more-famous jocks auditioned for the job. Brian B. Wilde eventually won the job (is he still a meteorologist on TV in Western Massachusetts; he came to PRO-FM from Q102/Philly), but Jammer (now PD of the legendary WABB/Mobile) and Kenny Walker (now mornings, Y100/Fort Lauderdale) both tried out for the job. Look how things have changed in ten years.

I remember Brian B. Wilde from Q102 in Philly. He was a funny jock. It's interesting, most jocks would go from Providence TO Philadelphia, not the other way around. I'm sure he had his reasons, though.

Yes, things definately have changed in 10 years.

He might have gone from Philly to Providence in order to have a full time airshift. If I am not mistaken, he never held a full-time shift at Q102. I, too, remember hearing him back in the early 1990s when visiting a relative in Philly.
