What the heck was that?

I was doing a band scan this morning at about 12:15AM and came across WRYM AM 840. There was a guy with a strange sounding voice screaming into the microphone in Spanish and what sounded like someone crying in the backround. It was very disturbing to me.

Now I don't own a signal meter, but I think WRYM was also running 1000 watts at that time and not 125. Their signal was much more clearer and listenable than it normally is at night. Normally on 840 at night I get a weak signal from WHAS, a weak signal from WRYM, and just a lot of other unitllegible stuff.

Aren't rules meant to be broken? Especially when you're talkin babyboomers... :D

Maybe grampa and gramma had their grandbaby for a sleep-over to give mom and dad a night out...

2 things wrong with that theory.

1. Baby Monitors don't transmit at 840 kHz. (That's what it said on my walkman).

2. I live in a 55+ neighborhood with my parents. No babies allowed.

That stuff is on every night. It's some crazy religious stuff. The guy yells and screams constantly and uses sound effects. I really don't understand the point of it.
