What the hell happened?

I just saw on Allacces that Paul B. Walker has walked away from his duties out there in Williston ND. Didn't want to hang around for winter? Can't blame you. Got something lined up?

Would you want to be in a small close minded town where everyone treated you as if you were from a different planet and where the fear of change upstairs at management had the station waivering rather than exploring creative change.

Ummmmmmmmmm, is that a rhetorical question?...If not, then I'll have to go ahead and say.........no? (Is that the right answer?)
So you're saying this is his reason for walking? Are you speaking for Paul? Shouldn't he answer this one himself, or did he just do that?

For those of you who prefer the technical side of radio, let me include you in on this thread by noting the following. Towers, Aphex FM2020, directional signal, part 15, audio quality, 32Kbps, hard drive,Microwave/STL Dish & finally, my internet website of 6000 songs..

Hello....long time reader, first time poster. I'm curious as well as to what happened. Regardless, keep up the good work Paul! Your passion for radio is unrivaled. I look forward to your next blog entry.

Thank you for the kind words. I will be updating my blog almost daily, so check it often.

Oh, on the subject of me leaving.. speculate all you guys want to, the reason I left is between me and my ex-employer. I'm working on a really big project right now and when it's ready to take off, I'll tell y'all..

I've got to tell you: there are only so many times an entire radio station and/or town can be "small minded" and "lack creativity" before the frequent departures begin to look odd!

"Radio God"?!

FYI, Eric Senich is the "All Around Radio God"...secondly, at the very least, shouldn't a radio "god" be employed in the business?

"The Radio God" is just a nickname and nothing more......

Yes, I know. The "Caveman" can be rather abrasive at times, but what can I say... after all, he *is* a caveman.

Simply "Caveman" no "The"...not that full of myself...yet.

I'll bow out of this thread by saying this. I've never met Paul, but based on his interaction here on Radio-Info, his website, his myspace site, his knowledge of radio inside and out, I have no doubt he'll land on his feet rather quickly. He possesses a passion for radio that's unequaled by most. It nice to see someone so excited about this medium. I wish you, and everyone who chooses to work in radio, the best of luck. Radio is such a small world, who knows, you might be in position one day to hire me...AND YOU BETTER!!

Jordan:

I don't know you nor have I ever met you either, but THANK YOU for your kind comments. I wish everyone who chooses to make radio a career the best, as well.

Paul
