Should they add more music? You know like hairbands add in the mix. What do you think what they should do?K-Rock is better than dve and 1059thex period.

They should hang it up all together! They have been struggling and their ratings continue to go DOWN! I say forget it...DVE wins!

As Youngabe pointed out, the ratings have been struggling for over a year now, even when Howard Stern was on. CBS Radio is too big to have a station with ratings consistantly 2.5 or under. The only way I see K ROCK improving with the addition of O & A is too add some new creative programming on the station.

I agree they need to do something. Maybe they should add star1007 music to there list?

If you like K-Rock for what it currently is, why would you want them to change it into something different by adding or subracting from the playlist? If a station you like changes in order to do better in the ratings, that's good for the station. But it sucks for the station's fans who liked it the way it was. So, if you're such a K-Rock fan, wouldn't it make more sense for you to want them to stay the way you like them than to change into something you don't like? You say you don't like 'DVE. If K-Rock were to change into something that did better in the ratings, don't you think that becoming more like 'DVE (which you don't like) would make for better ratings for K-Rock? In short, what is it that you're asking? Do you want ideas on how to make your favorite station into something that won't be your favorite anymore?

June 30, 2006 will make two years since B93.7 has been gone. I think they should blow K-ROCK off the air on the 30th...not necessarily change the format back to Top 40, but something, because it seems that there is no hope for K-ROCK.

I can't believe that it's been nearly two years.

Will the next ratings on May 30, 2006 include O&A on K-Rock or will this still be from Diamond Dave? I'm eager to see if they improve at all. I doubt very seriously that Pittsburghers are going to embrace these guys. As Realist has pointed out, most folks probably are not even aware of their arrival. :-\

AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO LIKES K-ROCK? I'm convinced- even with the book- that the venom displayed on these boards to that station is more the result of rock haters than anything else. I like the House of Hair. I like the fact I have an alternative to WDVE. I like the fact K-Rock's musical selection tends to cater to a younger audience but I still will hear an AC/DC song on it- unlike "The X."Personally I'd like to hear- like K-Rock Fan said (by the way, K-Rock fan is clearly RadioFan770)- more hairbands and stuff from the 80s and less songs I'd otherwise hear on "The X." Say what you will but a second rock station in Pittsburgh has room for growth and a Top 40- which is a dead format- does not. I think O and A is going to bring back many of the Stern listeners and there's lots of potential for the station to have a niche. I see K-Rock as a Roberto Clemente that hit .255 in his rookie year (or a Barry Bonds that hit .223 or a Willie Stargell that didn't club a single homer as a September rookie in 1962). I can say that I never listened to B-94. Heck, I made fun of the people who did. If B-94 never went away I think it would be drawing a 1.6 right now as well- but with no hope of a rebirth on a tweaking of the format or an O and A boost.

What Should 937k-rock do to improve the ratings, Add hairbands or what else should they do?

K ROCK needs to make people want to tune in and listen to their station. Let me ask you something, do you like K ROCK for what it is now or do you want them to add different music? If DVE and K ROCK flipped their music playlist, would you like DVE and Hate K ROCK?

Yes i understand that. Ok, I want them to add Hairbands not just a show or shows. I'd like to have it during a week day. Probably.
