Try the Sangean DT210. Has excellent reception of AM and FM and is easily adjusted to the 9 kHz increments from 10. Just got back from the UK, and found it to be far more sensitive than the Sports Walkman that I took on previous trips. Smaller too. And, with better sound. Best mini radio that I've ever used.
They sell a version over there in Europe that substitures LW for TV frequencies. Never found one in a store, though they available online.
