What was Kool98 (Lubbock) playing before noon, Thurs?

Hey BVG,

Can you go run into the profit or find out from Landon what that was? It sounded either like Dave Mathews or U2 in concert. Eitherway, it didn't sound like any oldies song I've ever heard before... What was it?

I can answer this without having to speak to anyone. However, exactly what you heard...I'm not sure. CC Lubbock is in the middle of moving from Profit to NexGen. Both AM's moved to the new server before the weekend, with the FM's following starting this past Monday. Kool moved yesterday around 1pm. The bear is the only one left to move. The holdup is the music from CCADS, we're still waiting on some, ok-most, of it. What you heard was likely a song generated on a dummy number for the new clocks.
 
Thanks for the info. I thought it seemed strange for them to be playing that (whatever it was).

I'm glad to hear you guys are upgrading to NexGen because it's going to sound better and better. I think Profit was a great invention, (wish I had my own copy of it), but it was Windows For Workgroups (3.1 platform) based, and it is definately time to move on.
