Can anyone help me settle a bet? Former Columbus PD and on air personality Tony Coles had an "on air" name he used when he was on the air in Zanesville, OH at WHIZ and in Columbus, OH on WXGT and WCOL. Of course this was in the late 80's and early 90's and I am having a tough time finding anyone who can confirm his on air name. Any help would be appreciated and REWARDED! if you dont know, do you know anyone who worked there at that time period?

He was Tony Coles when I worked with him at 92X. Wonderful human being!

Tony Coles got his start at WQIO in Mount Vernon back in the 80's. He always went by Tony Coles on air. Others who got their start there include: Joel Riley, Stacy McKay, Rick Knight and John Zellner.

I would ask Tony Coles directly... but the bet I have is with him! Te is currently the Operations Manager for the Clear Channel Cluster in Chicago. Tony and I work together. Tony apparently was given a phony on air name when he was on the air early in his career. He will not reveal it to the staff and has bet me that I could never find out what it was. I am willing to offer a $50 reward to anyone who can confirm his on air name. I believe it came from the the wife of the owner (whoever that is i dont know) of the WHIZ station in Zanesville in the the late 80's. Other than that, I am still trying to piece together the mystery that is Tony Coles former on air alias... any info would be great!
