What was with the sound?

I am still waiting for my SD cathode ray tube 27" tube television to die before I invest money in High Def LED unit.

I was astounded tonight how bad the sound mix was during 60 Minutes...background sound was on top of the voiceovers during the show. I have never noticed this during KFMB's local newscasts/local programming. Then you would all of a sudden hear music being potted up just about obliterating the dialogue. The worst segments were the ones involving their stories about Taylor Swift and Michael Jackson.

What could be going on? Any ideas?

I was watching KFMB's signal straight off my outside antenna....

Did you tinker with the SAP audio setting on your TV? If so, is it set to "MAIN"? It's all I can think of for the moment.
