What Were They Thinking?

1.) I would like to know if it was right, 11+ years ago, to get rid of WNIB, in favor of the current Drive. I remember when WNIB went off the air, even though I didn't listen to its final moments, or any of the music much.

2.) Back in early January, I listened to a clip of WMET on airchexx.com. This was after the format change to Soft AC in February 1985. Why did WMET change formats? I liked the ads and the jingles, but in the clip, they sounded very 1970s (especially the station ID from 3:20 to 3:30).

Any thoughts?
