What will become of 102.9 and 1340?

With all of the rumors flying around about the station/frequency swaps between Cox, Radio One, and Clear Channel, what in the end will come of the two heritage Springfield frequencies of 102.9(Formerly an AC, Active Rock, and Classic Rock; now a Rhythmic CHR) and 1340 WIZE(Formerly a CHR/Pop Top 40 and Adult Standards)? Format flips? Who will end up with these two frequencies?

I would hope a new local company would get their hands on these stations. Or better yet a small company with just a handfull of markets.

The hottest rumors around are that Saga will pick up Mansfield from Clear Channel. It would be nice to see them become a player in Dayton with 1340, 101.5 and 102.9.

Who knows....maybe Bradens? Connoisseur or one of the like. Or someone who buys a group of stations from Clear Channel say like a new Ohio Radio Group with Defiance, Lima, Dayton and Washington Courthouse?

I can't help but wonder if Bonneville is keeping an eye on this, too.

That would be a nice combo for them. Build in Cincinnati and Dayton.

Ummm...I don't see Clear Channel getting rid of 1340 anytime soon. They use it to fill in 980 coverage in Springfield. CC has to sell FM's, not AM's, to get under the cap.
