What will become of Turner South?

When will Turner South get a name change and do you think it will remain as a 2nd FSN for the region? Other than some limited former TS programming, the network is basicly airing spill-over programming from FSN South and the national feed. I would really like to see this continue as we head into college sports season again and would probably mean more college football. FSN South has shown the ACC game of the week for JP and it is shown over whatever game is being show on the national feed.

What do y'all think?

Turner South is nothing like it used to be. While it is good to sometimes get the "spill-over" live sports from the other FSN networks, the majority of the time Turner South is doing nothing but airing repeats of FSN programs like "Beyond the Glory" and simulcasting TVG, the horse racing channel which I already get anyway.

It's a shame that Time Warner had to sell it. They showed movies & programming like TBS did before they became the sitcom rerun network.

Once Turner South gets it's name change I do think that it will be programmed like a 2nd FSN, though FSN may not be a part of the name. It might be kinda like FSN Florida & Sun Sports.

I think they plan to split up the Braves games between the 2 channels and make the Hawks exclusive to one of the stations and the Thrashers exclusive to the other.

I think the network will become FSN South 2. Given how popular sports are in the South, Fox would be incredibly stupid not to take up the opprotunity to have 2 RSN's in the South.

I live in Texas so I don't get Turner South,so after 2007 the only way I can see the Atlanta Braves play baseball is when they play the Cubs or White Soxs on WGN or if they play on FOX or ESPN.

I see Turner South becoming the exclusive home of the Braves and the Hawks and the Falcons and their NHL team and seeing it named Atlanta Sports Net.

Similar situation already in Florida. SunSports (Formerly Sunshine Network) was sold off to one division of Liberty years ago. FSN Florida (formerly SportsChannel Florida) was part of Libertys Rainbow division. Both nets have their own identities, but occasionally youll see cross over programming, based on availability and schedule. Its worked out really well.
