What will KSPN 710 do if there's no NBA season?

Seriously, they will lose $1-$1.5 million in additional monthly revenue Nov-Mid June.
They will NOT attract the 500,000-600,000 in additional monthly cume brought in by the Lakers.\
And they will lose the ability to:
1. Schmooze the heck out of clients and prospects (and visiting ESPN dignitaries) at the games.
2. Lose all negotiating leverage to raise rates on spots airing outside the games creating even greater revenue loss.
It's a financial and ratings disaster. Add in KLAC's relentless promotion of their Dodgers affiliation (and their corresponding sales efforts) and you've got a lot of sales and programming folks in full panic mode...
As one sports blogger posted last week, "the stoppage will end when ESPN (cable) says it will." We'll see.

Also the programming decisions at KSPN can't help. Mike Thompson hired Max Kellerman and Marcellus Wiley which have been a disaster. The station has reporters that belong in Fresno and not L.A. doing reports. Terrible sounding station IMO is why they're down to 0.6 and now no Lakers? KSPN is toast.
Maybe they'll talk about hockey? (They won't)
