Certainly KRBV hasn't been a performer and has led quite a lot of us to speculate what RO will do. But a suggestion that KKBT should be revived may not be the best idea and that reason is the brand is tainted in people's minds because of RO trying to mold it into a UAC with Tom Joyner.
I personally have a conspiracy theory that Radio One all along wanted 100.3 to go a UAC route, it is a format that founder Cathy Hughes is comfortable with(remember she worked at WHUR and bought Magic 102.3 in the late 1980s) so that is why we saw all the troubles with heritage airstaff being fired, Harvey's fued with Hughes, his being let go, the replacement Salley tanking, the push of Tom Joyner and a subsequent rebranding. And the story isn't over yet, it's quite possible that Alfred might want Joyner back on in LA if Cliff/Diana don't improve the numbers, they're not much higher then when Joyner himself was on, I don't think that's a wise move myself but he is still RO's golden boy.
PPM of course will reveal interesting things, mabye even telling us there's more Spanish Launguage listenership then first thought.
. Then RO will have a situation to ponder.
