What Would You Do to Change/Improve KABC?

Put it on 95.5 KABC-FM.

5 - 9AM: Mark & Brian
9AM - Noon: Glenn Beck
Noon - 3PM: Sean Hannity
3 - 7PM: a fresh, new local talk host, e.g., Arnold Schwartzenager (sp)
7 - 11PM: Jim Ladd, classic rock music
11PM - 5AM: classic rock music

Riiiiiiight!

Jim Ladd on the same station as Beck and Hannity? His head would explode before he ever got to that 7:00 pm airshift.

Of course you wouldn't know it right away because the first hour would already pre-programmed with a solid hour of Doors music - Music to "Stick it to the Man" to.

Yup, Mr. Ladd would go nuts every night following a bunch of right-wing hosts. BTW, I would give Ladd the freedom to play as little or as much music as he wants during his show.

I guess if KABC brought back failed talk show host Larry Elder and possibly Al Rantel and Mr. KABC then I don't see why we couldn't have one of the worst failed Governors in Kalifornia history host a show at KABC too.

At this moment in time I do not see KLOS becoming KABC-FM, because as others have noted KLOS is still billing nicely.

However... I wouldn't rule out elements of KABC turning up on KLOS in the next couple years. Already The Dodgers are showing up 95.5 and where radio is going the powers that be down on La Cienega are aware of changing tides in radio.

I think what will excel a talk format move to KLOS is when KFI finally moves to FM. I do believe once KFI makes its move it will be the opening salvo of some interesting things to come in L.A. radio.

"Toodee we talk about Cullyfawnya."

Ha. Just imagine the guests he could book on his show: Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich, George Bush (both of them), pretty much any current or retired politician, Republican or Democrat.
