OK, technical issues aside, let's assume that you had a station that adopted HD or some similar digital format. What would you put on your secondary and tertiary channels? We don't even have to talk about what modulation scheme is used. It could be IBOC, it could be FMeXtra, or it could be something entirely different that none of us have ever heard of. The point is you now have two (or maybe more) channels that you can use. What would you do with them?
I realize that this answer will be different for almost everyone and depend a lot on what is going on in your market. Even so, I’d be curious to know what new, unusual or innovative formats might be compelling enough to make somebody want to buy a new radio.
Let’s keep the name calling and accusations down to a dull roar, and simply brainstorm about what might be good radio.
