I'd go with country too, but I could see alternative rock there as well. (And of course, Cumeless will not choose either format and move WABC over to the FM dial).
I would say simulcasting New Rock 101.9 for a week or two would be a great idea. Let the listeners move to 94.7 while holding no hard feelings against CBS. 94.7 will be starting from scratch (unless they stunt with Christmas, then they'll hold on to some Family Radio listeners). Might want to get 101.9's audience from the start.
Or they can bring Kicks Country to NYC. Obviously they should program from NYC and simulcast to Connecticut rather than the other way around.
