Whatever became of . . .

Warren Montet.
He was the overnight king for so many years at the real WRNO.
In younger days when we worked those overnight shifts, Warren kept us up and rockin' with
"some mighty tasteful stuff" !

I, too, wonder. I would always get a xmas Card from him, but not last year. is he the voice of all of the furniture store closing tv ads ?--- and, by the way, i wish that they would close faster. it gets pretty boring.

lol.......funny you say that...... a few weeks ago, i noticed a tv ad for MIKE BEACH furniture in laplace, with an incorrect pronunciation. they advertised it as MIKE BEACH FURNITURE of "LA-PLACE". lol that couldnt have been warren though........i just dont see him doing that! :)

Those Mike Beach ads are obvoiusly done out of town.

I haven't talked with Warren in years. He worked at Metroscan Traffic and board opped at Entercom for awhile several years ago

Warren's doing well. He stopped by the bar I play music at a few months ago. He's working for a company that weighs grain on rail cars, paying 10 fold better than radio. He had a bunch of stories and a few about that twit who owns TIX-FM. And Banks, when we gonna have lunch at Humble's?

Re: Whatever became of . . . Bo Walker

Wasn't he the "Most Popular, Most Well Liked, Most Handsomest DJ in All of the Southeast", or something like that? Gosh... with all that talent and all of those fans, where did he disappear to?

Radio... such a cruel mistress.

Soon.

Sooner if you're buyin! ;)

Look out, Cap... here comes the ORIGINAL Kool Wake Up Club!!!!!!!

Blair... glad you popped up on here again. It was good to see you a few weeks ago in the Irish-Italian parade, sorry I seemed so passive. I'll be honest when I say I didn't quite recognize you. Sorry 'bout that.

Anyway, keep in touch! [email protected] is my regular e-mail addy. Send me a message there one day soon. It'd be good to hear from you! I'll let you know why I got canned from Entercom.... You're gonna love it,... no really! ::) Talk soon!

Hello to two of my favorites---Don & Blair. I'll keep a lookout for ya' and prolly can get the "open" sign off fast enough. Just yokin' guys. i've been talking to a lot of our old friends (it was a bad booking --- cap appears at jails --- done mostly in gated communities. soxless, long jim white, the magic christian, the masked lizard and the oldies king, to mention just a few. you guys, come soon & order a lot, i'm saving for brain surgery ::)

How Seagraves? Last I heard he was in Lafayette but that could have been years ago. Maybe early next week on lunch. I'm up wit da injuns right now. Don't you have split hours or something? Better make sure you're stocked up on everything cause Banks can shovel it down...;p

I'm slowing down in my old age, Blair. Gone are the days when I would wolf down a hot sausage po-boy on the air at 6am or plow throuth 18 Castle Burgers at 7am.

Call me and we'll invade Cap's. Maybe we can con the Oldie King into making another trip. Or maybe Sudduth!

And whatever happened to Paulie, our producer/boot lickin, lackie? I think he's due for some abuse.

Just tell him Humble serves beer! And where is Bend-Over anyway?

He's terrorizing the Eyewitness Morning News doing sound. You can tell when he's working, he forgets to key in the mikes. I think he does it just to piss off Paulsen.

True, but it's better than that time I got stuck in the elevator then later that morning got sick on the raw oysters from the night before. The worst part of that deal was you coming down and yelling through the elevator door a half a floor up. I was trying to catch a little nap! Have some decency for cryin' out loud!

Funny about Paulie and the News! I had no idea. Sounds about right though. Give him a call and let's get what's left of the old crew together at Cap's.

Forever your Fatman!

Hi ya Cap! Glad you rebuilt. Ya'll lemme know when's the reunion, I wanna be there too! Time for one of those MONSTER Humbalieveable po-boys again! I'll drive over from the Coast...

Cap, got a call out of the blue from Skinny Tommy in Nashville the other day...it was great hearing from him---been so many years, he's still doing country artist promotion up there with the George Strait group. Patty Martin turned him onto my internet station, that's how he got ahold of me. You guys are the reason I got into this crazy damn bizness 32 years ago. It's all ya'll's fault!
