Whatever happened to...

Charlie Logan programs a Classic Rock station these days in Las Vegas.

From what I've been reading today on allaccess, my former co-worker can be heard doing VO on the 'Apprentice' tonight. To this day, every time I hear 'Kickstart My Heart' by the Crue, I picture AK screaming into that mic at 6pm. Glad to hear that Charlie's still rockin and keeping up on his forever tan in the land of the Sun.

Charlie Logan got royally stiffed by Beasley in Vegas... the worst of corporate bastard radio stories.

He is cleaning pools in Vegas so that his daughter can remain in school and graduate without feeling like she is in a gypsy tribe. BTW, pissed me off when somebody called "babytstringer" referred to Sea Bass as an "old guy' for radio.

Most of the old guys sitting on the bench should be on the air compared to the collection of cheap juvenile compost that litters the airwaves. Charlie Logan is certainly one of those (old) guys. They don't come any better.

As for Mike Horne and Gary Wall -- who the F cares. Gary Edens must have been on crack when he hired those morons to bust up the all-stars and mimick the pig. Those guys took Q105 straight down the tubes...no think about that..a station that could have fetched 100 mil in 1986...and Edens ended up unloading it as scrap along with the AM and the two in Richmond for 11.5 mil.

Way too many rich idiots in this business.

Brian Christopher is one of the finest dudes you'll ever meet in this business and was a victim by association with Mason in the firing of Rich, Dixon and Brian at the entrance of Wall (major doof)

Speaking of Mike Horne...

Does anyone remember when Mason Dixon was a guest on Bill Murphy's Channel 10 show "Murphy In The Morning"? This was in 1990 shortly after Q105 fired everybody. Bill and Mason were in the middle of talking while out of nowhere, Mike Horne comes out from backstage, dressed in some ridiculous costume, and starts jumping around and singing a song to Mason, basically teasing and taunting him about the firing. What the **** was that all about?!? I would not exactly consider Mike Horne to be a class act!

Didn't mean to offend with this statement. Old isn't a bad thing ... matter of fact, by radio standards, I am "old" myself. But watching how it goes at stations these days, older talent (and that IS where the talent is) isn't a plus. I thoroughly enjoyed Sea Bass and was looking forward to hearing some of that talent again even if it was masked under the name of "Chris." But I hear that Sea Bass is working someplace else in another state. Mea culpa. No insult intended!
