Whatever happened to...

First time to post on here... I think Rob Smotherman is the guy you're talking about, went by Rob Taylor on the air. A good friend of mine, he works as an investment broker for Edward Jones in Kentucky. Very talented radio newscaster, I always thought it was a shame he got out of broadcasting. Tough neighborhood in both professions right now.

It really was a shame. The kid never knew how good he really was and he let a bully of a news director chase him out of the business. Given the chance, he would have made Buddy and me sound like amateurs.
 
Yeah, that's the guy. Sorry to hear he is not in the business. He was terrific. I fully expected him to be doing network news somewhere.
