That's what I figured with the signal for the Walrus. But parts of North County seem to be hard to cover for most SD stations because of terrain. The Mt. Wilson sticks seem to cover them as well or better.
BTW...Aren't you the one that really liked the old Power 106? I did too...That was a great station in it's heyday. They had a great sound and played a lot of stuff that just wasn't being played anywhere at the time (except for KMEL/SF)
"72,000 watts of music power, K-P-W-R Los Angeles....Power 1-0-6" Mucho Morales, Joe Nasty...Was a lot of fun....What radio should be like!
thats funny that u said that about sister stations.when i was in high school i listened to power 106.everyone thought i listened to Q 106.i proved it to them.at lunch time they came out to my car(i still own it to this day.)and told them to listen at the top of the hour.72000 watts of music power !less talk--KPWR LOS ANGELES! Power 106!!!!!!!!!!!!(sound of voltage))loved it.i changed alot of people that listened to Q106..i can only send them on cassette...Garrett said:You know? That was about the only station I liked better than Q106 circa 1988, Power106, and I had the feeling that many listeners thought they were sister stations. Of course, that wasn't the case... Too bad they went in such a hip-hop direction.
I'll take a few dozen of those arichecks, please...![]()
