What's going on at ABC15?

I realize that Katie is off on maternity leave and Stephanie Hockridge has been filling in for her. The last few days, Connie Colla has been co-anchoring the afternoon and evening news shows (not sure about the 10pm show) and then she has also been anchoring her usual spot in the mornings (4:30am-7am). Kind of making her burn the candle at both ends.

Where are the rest of the "anchor" staff like Christopher Sign, Susan Casper or Rebecca Thomas? (Especially considering that Casper and Thomas are in studio an hour earlier for ABC15NOW).

That seems really odd, unless it's a combination of anchors being on vacation and being sick at the same time. ABC 15 has plenty of anchors...seems like Rebecca and Susan could cover the slots, given that they do the ABC 15 Now @ 3.

I wonder if Tara Hitchcock will apply? I think she would excel in that type of format.

No, she thinks she's going to have a national talk show...

From Phoenix magazine...

THE TARA SHOW?
This summer, Hitchcock will shoot a pilot with an L.A.-based producer who envisions a nationally-syndicated talk show. “What I’ve learned from the experience at 3TV, and the experience with Dylan, is that life is short and you better do what you love,” she says. “So I just want to do something that lets me utilize my skills. I’m not Oprah, but I’ve got some skills.”

Well, at least she has skills to know she's not Oprah....

Beverly Kidd did quit to spend more time with her family.

So did Brad Cesmat. He also quit 3TV. Less than a year later he's got his own afternoon show on XTRA910

With good reason. He did the 620 Sportsline on KTAR for a number of years. KTAR blew him out and he landed at Channel 3. He was clearly a bit uncomfortable on TV, but did OK. He's a genuinely nice guy and knows his stuff. He does a good show on XTRA, and I believe he brokers the time. He does the show from Dave Pratt's facility in Scottsdale.

Any words on who's leaving Sonoran Living? Watching on 20 April and both Stephanie Sandoval and Andi Barness are on. Or maybe they're adding a third host?
